Danny Stones

Managing Director

Danny has lived and worked in various countries over the last 30 years, particularly Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Eastern Europe, UAE and USA.

He now spends most of his time using his in depth knowledge of these countries to organise and deliver Professional Football Training Camps for our clients and specialist group travel projects to help drive the year round business for our carefully selected resorts. This enables FTG to offer our clients the best guaranteed prices, conditions and service.

Danny began in the legal profession and travel agency business. In 1996 he became Marketing Manager at Sheffield Wednesday FC where, together with Sir David Richards, past Chairman of the Premier League and Graham Mackrell, the Company Secretary, they set up a new Marketing Department. They developed an off-field strategy for the club covering all affinity revenue streams and particularly developing a new membership scheme and innovative season ticket package to greatly increase supporter numbers.

FTG has now worked with over 70 football clubs on Training Camps and specialist projects, with many other high profile sports and business brands and various grassroots organisations.

As a Master Practitioner in Team Action Management (TAM), Danny is a strong believer in combining specialist sport strategies with proven business processes and creative flair. This combination helps our clients to achieve their goals by delivering ‘winning performance’.
